Nursing MSc

 

Nursing is a profession where higher qualifications are required for promotion. Having a Masters can help you be a nurse team manager and nurse consultant. This will allow you to continue your professional development.


Course content includes NHS Leadership Framework, including managing people, working within teams, making decisions, evaluating impact and facilitating transformation. Recent graduates from this course have gained promotion into higher-banded roles in the NHS. Other graduates have progressed to doctoral programmes and moved into lecturing and teaching.

 

BSC (HONS) Nursing (TOP-UP)

 

This course is designed to top-up a registered nurse qualification (e.g. RGN, RMN, RN, RNMH, RSCN). On successful completion, you will have an honours degree that underlines your advanced clinical expertise and professionalism.

We know that degree qualifications are becoming increasingly vital and we assure you that Sunderland graduates have a strong record of career progression. The course is carefully structured to enhance skills that allow you to meet a wider range of challenges. 

For international students who want to work as a nurse in the UK, you must be registered with the Nursing Midwifery Council ((NMC). This can be achieved by completing an Overseas Nurses Programme which takes between 3-6 months.
