Gain real work experience while studying in the UK.
Mayfair College offers Career and University Pathways which allow students to study and work at the same time. Their paid work placement programmes are available for all students enrolled on one of their ABE-accredited University Pathways Programmes in Marketing Management Diploma (Level 4), Business Management Diploma (Levels 5 and 6), and Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management Diploma (Levels 4, 5 and 6).
The scheme is organized in conjunction with Global Education Management, a company which specializes in placing international students in the UK employment market. Their placements are arranged to run in parallel with the timetable for their ABE programmes, which provides participants with a full-time commitment of 30 hours per week. Fifteen (15) hours per week and a minimum of five (5) hours of self-study will be alloted for the ABE programme while another fifteen (15) hours per week will be devoted in the paid work placement.
The work placements provide an outstanding opportunity for students to gain valuable UK work experience to complement areas covered in the ABE syllabus. Recent students have been placed in companies such as New Look, Varta Microbatteries, Sainsbury's, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Country Club. Positions have included Student Administration and Distribution Assistant, Data Entry Clerk, Sales Assistant, Food and Beverage Associate among others.
